Sea Collective

Sailing Towards Sustainable Fisheries

We are creating a template to protect reefs, fish, and fisherfolk in a changing climate.

Sea Collective is addressing a global data gap. We are on a mission to contribute to a global dataset comparing the marine environment to social systems in tropical small-scale fishing communities. Our data and monitoring will inform the management and establishment of marine protected areas that support the ocean and the people that depend on it.

Reimagining Ocean Stewardship

Welcome to Sea Collective. At the heart of our mission is the empowerment of fisherfolk, ensuring that marine conservation efforts are not only environmentally sustainable but also support the livelihoods and cultures of those who rely on these ecosystems, creating a model for adaptive management that balances human rights with ecological preservation.

Our Mission

Our mission is to meet the increasing demand for effective and equitable protection of our oceans, in line with the 30x30 framework. By using a scientific structure and collaborating with local communities, we are creating a template for MPAs that truly meet global conservation objectives. Through innovative solutions and a deep commitment to putting fisherfolk at the heart of the conversation, Sea Collective is actively working to safeguard our oceans and secure a thriving future by supporting coastal communities. Join us in our mission to create a more sustainable and equitable world, one coastal community at a time.
